We considered installing a solar photovoltaic system for our residential home, a new construction, for many months. It seemed the clear choice for the environment and for our children's future. A more difficult decision involved the so-called "break-even" financial point. Therefore we requested three proposals from three different solar companies and allowed each company to provide what they believed was the best system.

After we received the proposals, our deliberation lasted but a minute or two. Solar Energy of Illinois provided by far the best system array, the most detail, the most comprehensive list of what the company would provide, the best warranty, the newest panels, and the best inverter - all at a price that was very reasonable. We checked every aspect of the company including its history and BBB record and found the young business was held in high regard with no concerns.

Every phase of the job was handled with professionalism. Lukas was easy to reach by phone, email or text. He "checked in" frequently to be sure we were happy with the install. He completed paperwork and assisted with the rebate and net-metering programs. The crew arrived earlier than any other subcontractor and stayed so late that I was shocked on one occasion to find them still working at nearly 8 pm one evening!

The finished product is fabulous. The panels look great and once we saw the "free" kilowatts adding up, we felt wonderful about our decision to install the system and especially that we chose Lukas and Solar Energy of Illinois.

As a measure of our confidence in the company, the crew had no more than finished our solar array, that we decided to order a solar water heating system.
